Today's installment regards a 78 year-old man in Miami; after shopping at a local Winn-Dixie, he offered to help a woman who seemed to be having trouble getting home by giving her a ride home with her groceries. No problems there, right? A helpful, charitable act, right? Hah!

Our poor samaritan was arrested for running an illegal taxi service.

Only in America (or at least in Florida) can you be arrested for attempting to be helpful; "You're being arrested for helping a woman get home, and we're gonna arrest your friends in Orblando for helping hungry people get something to eat. Now stand up and salute the flag, ingrate!"

TELL ME IT'S NOT SO SLAP. IF I WAS CHIEF AND ONE OF MY OFFICES DID THIS HE WOULD WALK THE BEACH 11-7 EVERY SHIFT FOR 2 YEARS AND HE WOULD MOW THE MANS GRASS AND HELP HIM SHOP AT WINN- DIXIE. JUST A SAD WORLD. MY PULMONARY DR PUT MY ON A NEW NEBULIZER MED AND STOPPED SOME OF MY OLD ONES AND INCREASED MY DOSE OF NEB PULMICORT 100%. HAVING SOME PROBLEMS,SINUS AND MAY NOT GIVE ME THE LUNG VOLUME TO DO WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING. NEB MEDS CAN HAVE SOME STRONG SIDE EFFECTS SINCE THEY GO STRAIGHT TO THE HEART AND BRAIN. MAY BE WHY MARKLE HAS PROBLEMS WITH MY REASONING OR LACK THEREOF. WENT OUT AT 12 NOON TO TRY TO CHOP MY GARDEN AND JUST COULDN'T DO IT SO I'VE USED MY OLD NEBS AND PUT NEW TUBES ON MY O2 MACHINES AND THIS SEEMS TO HELP. I CALLED OKBOSTON LAST NIGHT AND HE'S STILL IN O-TOWN, GOING HOME TOMORROW. I TOLD HIM I HAD A SHILLELAGH ON THE BACK OF THE GOLF CART THAT I FORGOT TO GIVE HIM AND HE REGRETED THAT HE DIDNT HAVE IT,HE MIGHT RUN INTO SOME OFTHE FORUMS POSTERS AND NEED TO PROTECT HIMSELF. :) GOT TO WALK THE BISCHON AND TRY THE GARDEN AGAIN. LATER SLAP

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS CASE SLAP? I DON'T READ THE SENTINEL MUCH. WHAT'S HAPPENED TO THE FOLKS ON HERE. IS EVERYONE TRYING TO SAVE THEIR REAR WHICH IS A HARD JOB TODAY. FARMERS UP HERE ARE JUMPING FOR JOY,WE'VE HAD ABOUT 5 INCHES OF RAIN SINCE LAST SAT AND IT MAY RAIN SOME TONIGHT. MOST OF THIS RAIN WAS PERFECT,SOAKED INTO THE GROUND. ONLY A FARMER KNOWS THE JOY OF RAIN AT THE RIGHT TIME. I EXPECT THAT EDDIE RICKINBECKER (SP) KNEW THIS JOY AND MORE WHEN HE WAS FLOATING IN THE OCEAN FOR THOSE MANY DAYS AND BEING A GOLD PLATED HERO AGAIN,WW1&2,ONE OF OUR NATIONAL TREASURES. LATER SLAP.

Had a great rain here in central Florida today as well Spud. Been having daily rains for about two weeks now. But for some reason it was especially sweet this morning...to the spirit I guess. Anyway I had the strongest desire or wish that I were a farmer so as to completely relish the event. The inclination was born from several years of vegetable gardening back in eighties. I guess it sunk in...like a slow rain so to speak.

I say the world is taking a shower when it rains, the air smells so fresh and clean. The grass was dying when the rains came and it turn green in a few hours. People in the cities need to get away from sod and use native grasses because they re so hardy. Corn is so green and growing so fast you wouldn't believe it. I have the green thumb,if i plant it,it will grow. I grew 500 pounds of tomatos off of ten hills last year and they are looking good this year so far. I'm worried about the lack of bees,as you know the bees are going missing for some reason. food will be short without bees. GOT TO GET READY TO HIT THE RACK LATER JW,I LOVE RAIN ON MY TIN ROOF. ON the post it left off most of the sentence on corn, what it showed was "corn is so grow," a puzzle,i came here to edit and the whole sentence was there. Scratch my head.
